All Intern Qualifications:
Relationship with Jesus and desire to grow as a disciple and servant
Passionate about baseball / previous baseball experience & knowledge
Passionate about youth/sports ministry
Must have servant heart and ability to work long days
Ability and desire to share gospel with kids
ALL Intern Requirements:
Raising support as a baseball missionary for the summer ($1,250)
Working 2-4 week long camps throughout June-August
Working Shepherds game operations
Participation in intern trainings, Missions trip, local ministry opportunities and regular fellowship/discipleship with other interns
Ability to locate to So. Cal for summer
Available full time during the summer

Camp COACH / CAMP Operations InternshipS
Camp Lead Coach Job Description: These Interns will serve as part of the FCA Baseball Camp Staff as lead coaches where they will gain experience in coaching and leading youth teams during camps. Within this platform there will be opportunities to lead small groups, teach Bible curriculum, sharing their testimony and help kids learn baseball skills. These interns are expected to have experience and skill in baseball coaching and personal ministry.
Camp Operations Job Description: These Interns will gain experience in helping with administrative support and logistics of running camp, as well as participate in fellowship and leadership development trainings. Operations interns will be responsible for the operations execution of camp registration, lunch, merchandise sales, communication, marketing, athletic training and more!
Professional Internship Opportunities
All interns will work as a team to pull off game operations for the So Cal Shepherds collegiate team. Each intern will have a role within the team and is responsible for the planning, execution, and follow through on their role. Interns will gain professional experience in a specific role of baseball operations.
Athletic Training (CERTIFIED POSITION IS FILLED)
Job Description: So. Cal FCA baseball is seeking 2 young men/women passionate about baseball ministry to oversee all medical issues and emergencies that occur at all ministry sites. They will be required to work closely with site directors and staff as well as campers and families on a weekly basis. Athletic Trainers must follow all Department of Health rules and regulations, create safety systems throughout the site to prevent illness and injury, and manage all medical supplies. They must be able to dispense medication and keep related records via FCA Baseballs Risk Managment Manual. Interns will gain experience in helping with administrative support and logistics of running camp, as well as participate in fellowship and leadership development trainings. Interns will be under directs supervision of FCA staff and an FCA Certified Athletic Trainer.
Required Skills: Must be at least a college student with a preferred major in Athletic Training or Kinesiology and have at least 2 years of experience in the related field. Athletic Trainers should have a current certificate in Responding to Emergency first aid issued by the American Red Cross and must have successfully completed a CPR course within the past year.
Merchandise/concession/TeaM STORE
Job Description: Maintains FCA Baseball store by observing displays of products; tidying store shelves; providing optimum display of products. Maintains inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory; observing inventory levels; prompting management to reorder when levels appear low; arranging for return and credit for damaged products. Balance all cash boxes and keep orderly accounting procedures. Lead a team to processes all orders at camp sites in an efficient manor including merchandise and concession sales. Must be able to setup and use PayPal Here app and learn use of PayPal sales hardware. Learn to operate snow cone machine as well as mixing all ingredients and maintain a clean working environment. Clean and sterilize all equipment after each use. Enhances merchandising and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Game Operations
Job Description: The Game Operations internship is all encompassing. This intern is expected to aid in the execution of all game operations departments. Responsibilities include hospitality, press box, marketing, meals, transportation, community outreach, merchandise, travel, finances, umpires and much more. Most importantly, game operations will work under the Assistant GM to ensure all departments are running smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a servant leader who is able to take initiative and problem solve.
SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTOR
Job Description: The Sports Information Director (SID) is primarily responsible for documenting and publicizing the accomplishments of the Shepherds. This includes preseason press releases, nightly post game write-ups, game day programs, and player interviews. Headquartered in the Press Box, responsibilities may also include the oversight of public address announcing, scoreboard and music operation, as well as assisting the statistician and broadcasters. SID’s will travel with the team, and are expected to successfully complete their responsibilities in a timely and appropriate manner.
Public relations
Job Description: The Public Relations interns will be expected to champion all of the Shepherds promotional efforts, both on and off the field. Interns must be creative, comfortable with public speaking, and good with social media. Responsibilities will include the leadership on developing a season long promotional schedule, implementation of new on-field promotions, maintainence of all Catch social networks, the development of positive lucrative relationship with sponsors and partners, and many other PR tasks.
Creative Media
Job Description: Creative Media interns will spearhead all photography and videography efforts for the Shepherds. The photography intern is responsible for photography before, during, and after each game and event. The job requires photography experience in shooting and producing. This intern will be responsible for helping with game day programs, Shepherds graphics, and photo journalism of the summer experience. The video intern is responsible for video before, during, and after catch games and events. This intern will be responsible for producing regular highlight/interview clips, as well as larger Shepherds video projects.
Clubhouse
Job Description: The Clubhouse intern will lead all equipment and gear efforts. This intern will be integral in helping with everything from the initial equipment orders, to the final inventory closeout and organization. The clubhouse intern will direct and maintain all inventory systems, uniforms, internship gear, and team equipment. Responsibilities will include the set up and tear down of home/away clubhouses and dugouts, as well as the organization of gear, uniforms, equipment, and meals. This position requires a servant leader who cares about the details.
Statistician
Job Description: The Statistician will be expected to cover all Shepherds statistics throughout the entirety of the season. Interns will be responsible for the recording, reporting, and analysis of all team and individual statistics. This intern will have the opportunity to perform statistical analysis and work with the GM and coaches on statistical insight & development.
Broadcasting
Job Description: The Broadcast interns will serve as on-air personalities for all Shepherds games. Responsibilities will include the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of all video equipment, along with the co-production of all pre and post-game shows. The broadcasters will work with the creative media team to create exceptional in-game highlight reels and nightly recaps. Broadcasters are also expected to work alongside our sponsors to create promotional ads to be used throughout the broadcasts.
Stadium Operations
Job Description: The Stadium Operations interns will be in charge of tickets, concessions and merchandise. These interns will be expected to oversee and operate the finances, inventory, and customer service of these positions. Stadium Operations interns will work with other interns to create an excellent Shepherds game experience for fans. These Interns should be self motivated, detail oriented, and trustworthy.
