Coach Tucie Shelp
Phone: (310) 570-9836
BIO: I grew up in Venice Beach California surfing the waves and playing baseball. Eventually, baseball took over as my favorite sport and I began to pursue playing professionally at a young age. In high school I excelled on my team and received a scholarship to play at Biola University. At Biola I focused my studies on physical education and coaching. I also was the starting right fielder as a freshman and then sadly injured my hip. Little did I know, this injury would end my career... I still love the game of baseball, but more importantly I love Jesus. I have believed in the Lord nearly my whole life. My freshman year of high school was when I started to dive deeper into a personal relationship with Jesus. In college, I simply continued to pursue God and grow exponentially in my faith. Now, I serve at my church in children’s ministry and as a worship leader. I continue to grow in the knowledge of God’s deep deep love for me every day.
Coach Jordan Aboites

BIO: Jordan recently finished up his career in professional baseball with the MLB AAA Mexican League. Prior to professional baseball, Aboites competed as a two-way player at Arizona State University from 2012 to 2016. During 2014, he was awarded the “Fireman Award” as the best relief pitcher after leading the PAC 12 in innings pitched out of the pen. In 2019 Jordan served as a volunteer assistant coach at Biola University in La Mirada and was the head coach of the So. Cal. Shepherds FCA Summer Collegiate Team.
Coach Colin Ashworth
Colin grew up in Placentia, CA and attended Whittier Christian High School. In high school, he was awarded the Olympic League MVP of the 2013 baseball season. He went on to pitch at the Division I collegiate baseball, and recently finished his career this past season with the University of Hawai’i. Colin was also a member of the 2013 and 2014 FCA SoCal Catch Summer baseball teams. Throughout his collegiate baseball career, Colin could not have journeyed through disappointments, injuries, and successes without his strong reliance on Jesus. He trusted in God’s plan for his life through patience and prayer, leading to unexpected doors opening for him. Colin is now pursuing a career in public service as a firefighter in Southern California. Ultimately, Colin is eager to impact lives with FCA through his faith and baseball experience.
